On November 4, the now ex-member of Stray Kids Woojin allegedly joined a KakaoTalk open chat room dedicated to the group and left a message for fans.
Woojin suddenly left the group on October 28 due to “personal circumstances” and Stays haven’t heard from him since.
The user that joined the chat room introduced themselves as Woojin and uploaded a never-before-seen selfie (this article’s cover photo) along with a heartfelt message:
Hello, it’s Woojin.
I really want to express my gratitude to the fans who loved and encouraged Stray Kids’ Woojin. I would also like to offer my sincere apology for delivering such sudden and devastating news to the fans.
Since I’m not on any social media networks, I didn’t know how to contact you and tell you how I am feeling. It took me some time to sort out my thoughts.
I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and although it wasn’t an easy decision, I hope that the fans who always supported me will understand my situation.
I will continue to think about good music and sincere songs in hope to stand before you again in the future!
Please support and cheer for me even if it takes some time [to do it].
I sincerely thank you and I love you.
For the time being, there is no way of knowing whether the chat user was really Woojin, but we hope that he really is doing well and will return to the spotlight sometime in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates.
